DESIGN INTRODUCTION
site map
(with page preview)
To the left you see a top plan view of a settlement unit. By its resemblance with a snowflake christal, we can call it a "snowflake", instead of unit. It can serve different functions - the one shown here would be for a hotel, supposedly the first unit to land and designed to be self-supporting for at least a week. Click here for a general technical description.
Other 'snowflakes' would be for:
-
Residential living, where you would have your own home.
- Medical, surgery and hospitals
-
Ecological, energy & sewage systems
water, air & food recirculation, gardens, etc.
- Farming, milk and egg production
-
Recreation - swimming pool, mini-golf, fitness center, nightclub, cinema, etc.
-
Warehouse - shopping mall
-
Technical support, maintenance and repair workshops
-
Factory
-
Educational, schools, kindergarten
-
Space port terminal, supply storage.
-
What more can be thought of... ?

Below you can choose the design area of your interest, which looks similar to this one. In the plan-view image above left, click in the section of your interest and a new page will open with that section enlarged and where you can place interior components as you prefer. Simply mouse-move component images to the desired position and build your lay-out that way (at present not available).
That is the easy part as far as the design of this web site is concerned. The difficult part is how to save each user's work in a personal and password protected subdomain, like: username.lunar-union.org and which is viewable for all members.
WANTED!
Present programming skills are rather basic and thus we are looking for someone who can do the advanced stuff, designing a Content Management System. This may also include other ways on this site how to design our settlements and technical systems (like an easy-to-use drawing program). |
Let's develop this site together, as we have just the beginning of it. If it fits you, please apply for the job!
DESIGN AREA: 1) Residential Unit 2) Recreation Unit 3) Ecological unit ... more to come
