A living unit as shown in the header image would be the first unit to land on the moon, initially as a hotel for rich people to raise the funds for further development and in order to learn the conditions of living there and to develop the technical systems further.

In fact, it all would start sooner with Earth-orbiting hotels, consisting of the same modules, but configured in an other way to achieve artifical gravity. These would also be used as carriers to the moon and as Moon-orbiting space-stations later on. The carriers would follow a lasso-orbit between Earth and Moon, taking about eight days for a round trip (= minimum period of stay for tourists).

By using the same modules, instead of having to develop different basic designs for each application, the costs of developing the technology and most of all manufacturing can be kept down.

All this would be needed to develop the technology for a moon base and to raise the huge funds required for moon-habitation.

The first basic unit for a compound will be followed by others, having the same shape and appearance, but different functions and are placed together to form self-sustaining settlement compounds, a top-view plan of which is shown here above. Doesn't it look like a snowflake crystal? Many of suchs compounds together would build a lunar city - "Snowflake City".

However, there has newly been detected a hole in the ground on the Lunar surface, indicating there may be a wide system of tunnels under the surface, which would then be far more suitable to establish sheltered settlements in. A "snowflake - unit" for tourists only, could then be placed over such an entrance, giving an emergency retreat in the pressurized tunnel-city below. This would make moon tourism infinitely safer and thus more attractive. Imagine, with the tunnel-cities/habitats, there is a place to go when surface habitats become damaged!

As you can see, the whole strategy is a step-by-step extending of what already exists and has been proven to work as intended. From an Earth-orbiting hotel, via transport systems, to cities on the moon.

Mind that we all together, thousands of us, would form a design team that no government, nor any private company could put together, even less pay for and it all costs us nothing, but our work-input that nobody has to pay wages for. This is our strength, creating values with our brains only and we own them! Those who deem this to be impossible should consider that ..
